Cascade Clamp - Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine store hiring just 4 people. Total sales for that year totaled sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and various parts. Through five years of operation, the business had expanded to 40 staff and their yearly sales volume had risen to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Today, Cascade is amongst the leading international producers in the material handling business.

Production and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of new business possibilities. During the past sixty years, the material handling trade has developed into a highly complex area and Cascade has proudly played a part in this growth. Cascade presently continues to develop as the leader provider of lift truck accessories and various related items. During the 1950's, Cascade started to manufacture, design, and advertise its hydraulic attachments. A new facility was constructed in 1956, in order to house all plant operations and offices in Portland, Oregon, which continues to be the company's present center of operations. After 15 years of business, total employees reached a hundred and eighty workers and sales had reached nearly two million three hundred thousand dollars.

In the year 1959 in Springfield, Kent a second manufacturing facility was built. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's preliminary move into the global world of the material handling industry when the company recognized interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.

In 1964, the company altered its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in 1965, the business went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the business has expanded its manufacturing amenities within the continental US to the places Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already existing plants in Springfield, Kent and Portland, Oregon. Cascade products are made internationally thanks to lots of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new plant was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European head office.
