Drum Clamps
Drum Clamps - Forklifts are actually used to lift, move and store things placed on pallets. For companies which use drums, they often require an attachment to be able to deal with moving, storing and lifting them. There are several different attachments which a company can use for all of your drum moving, storing and lifting requirements. These attachments are specifically used in order to deal with drum containers - therefore there is no risk of damage to the item or drum container when they are lifted, stored or moved.
Drum Positioner And Grab
The drum positioner can be utilized in order to load and unload drums off of vehicles, racks, and drum stands. These are available in three and four tine models. This particular attachment is totally mechanical, therefore allowing the the one operating it to operate all from the comfort of the forklift seat. Able to move steel, large and extra large plastic drums, its capacity is 210 liters. This attachment is designed for drum pyramid stacking.
The drum grab can be mounted to the forks, with a designed objective of handling metal drums that have rolling hoops. Even if the initial purpose for the design was to handle steel drums with rolling hoops, the drum grab could help accommodate plastic drums too. Drum capacity maximum is 220 liters for plastic barrels and 210 for steel drums with rolling hoops.
The Rotator
The drum rotator is one more forklift attachment which mounts onto the forks themselves. Their objective is to be able to pick up the drum and turn it upside down. The drum is clamped into the drum rotator utilizing a clamp which fits around the center of the drum. The rotation is done by either a continuous loop chain or a crank handle. The crank handle is designed for operations that happen below shoulder level. For operations that must happen higher than shoulder level, the continuous circle chain will be used.
Drum tines are straightforward fork mounted accessory that can be utilized for unstacking or stacking 210-liter steel drums. Stacking requires nothing fancy, just simple horizontal placement of the drums. The carriage-mounted accessories reduce the load center of the drums.
Automatic Tongs
Drum tongs are accessible in semi-automatic and automatic units. They are used in the open topped or tight head steel drum kinds. The drum forceps could be connected in a couple of ways to the lift truck. One method is to attach them beneath a fork-mounted hook. Another way is to attach them to a fork-mounted jib or a carriage mounted jib. Either the semi automatic and the automatic have a drum capacity of 210 liters. With the automatic, there is no need for the individual operating it to ever leave the seat of the lift truck.
Rim Grip Handler
The Rip Grip Drum Handler is the perfect alternative for forklift attachments, whenever there is a necessity to stockpile drums with limited space available. This accessory can be utilized on both 120L and 210L drums. The Rim Grip Handler operates by using metal jaws so as to hold the edge of the drum. It lifts the drum and sets it down without requiring any space between the drums. The typical unit used in the industry is a zinc-plated handler, though, this particular attachment is available in stainless steel for the food and drink industry.
